Maple Rye Old Fashioned

Maple and aromatic bitters round out rye’s spice without hiding its character.

Ingredients

• 2 oz Krampus Bottled-in-Bond Rye
• ¼ oz pure maple syrup
• 2 dashes aromatic bitters
• 1 orange peel

Directions

1. Stir all liquids with ice until chilled.
2. Strain into a rocks glass over a large cube and garnish with expressed orange peel.

Optional: briefly smoke the empty serving glass using food-safe wood smoke.
